Er-Cheng Tang
Hi, I am a second-year PhD student in computer science at the University of Washington, advised by Prof. Andrea Coladangelo and also working closely with Prof. Huijia (Rachel) Lin. I am in the theory group, the cryptography group, and the quantum group. My research focuses on cryptography, complexity, and quantum computing.
In Summer 2025, I was invited to the Obfuscation workshop in the Cryptography 10 Years Later program at the Simons Institute for the Theory of Computing. In Spring 2024, I was a long-term student visitor there for the Quantum Algorithms, Complexity, and Fault Tolerance program.
Before starting my PhD, I was a research assistant at Academia Sinica, Taiwan, where I was advised by Dr. Kai-Min Chung. I obtained my B.S. and M.S. degrees in mathematics from National Taiwan University under the supervision of Dr. Jiun-Ming Chen.
